ALL UEW POSTGRADUATE ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES(Regular, Sandwich & Distance)
The School of Graduate Studies was established in the 1999/2000 academic year. The aim of Management in establishing the School of Graduate Studies was to address the academic manpower requirements of some selected Departments.
In 1996, the University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Brockport University of New York (Suny Brockport).
The purpose of the Memorandum of Understanding was for Brockport University to assist the University College of Education (UCEW) to upgrade the academic qualification of staff in the Department of Physical Education, Recreation and Sports. This idea resulted in training of both staff and students.
The first programme that was introduced at the School of Graduate Studies was Masters in Ghanaian Languages (Applied Linguistics). Later, the School of Graduate Studies introduced three new Masters Programmes, namely: Masters in French, Masters in Social Studies and Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Administration and Management.
Currently, the School of Graduate Studies could boast of sixteen (16) Ph. D. programmes, one (1) Ed. D. Programme, twenty-nine (29) M. Phil. programmes, four (4) MBA programmes, twenty top-up (MA/M. Ed./MSc/M. Tech. to M. Phil.) programmes, one (1) Executive Masters programme, fourteen (14) M. A. programmes, fifteen (15) M. Ed. programmes, three (3) MSc. programmes, six (6) M. Tech.
The School of Graduate Studies is guided by some approved policies, guidelines and handbooks in the running of the Office. Some of these documents are as follows:
