The Electoral Commission has noted with concern an allegation making rounds on social media that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) representative. Mr. Rojo Mettle Nunoo was ejected from the National
Collation Centre on Tuesday, 8th December, 2020. The Commission wishes to state that this is false. Mr. Rojo Mettle Nunoo was never at any point driven out Of the National Collation Centre. This allegation comes as a surprise to the Commission. Mr. Rojo Mettle Nunoo has comported himself and cooperated with the staff Of the Commission and other Political Party Agents throughout the process of validating the results coming from the Regional Collation Centres and has expressed no concerns with the certified results released so far.
Further, the atmosphere at the National Collation Centre has been peaceful and cordial throughout the process.
We entreat the General Public to ignore fake news being circulated to incite the public to violence to mar the peaceful conduct of the 2020 Elections.
